The Yogashala Waterdown
Who are we?
Meagan and Lindsay are a pair of fun loving, wanderlust, knowledge seeking yoga teachers. They have been dreaming/working on opening a yoga studio in Waterdown since July of 2011. With many of their students asking them to open a studio in Waterdown, they began their quest to fulfill their dreams as well as those of yoga practitioners and aspiring yoga practitioners living in Waterdown.
We are not a large company or business, we are not a franchise, we are not a conglomerate. We are two young women following our hearts and dreams. We want to share our passion and our lives with the Waterdown community. We want The Yogashala to be a close knit, personal, and comfortable place to come hang out, practice yoga, make new friends, and strengthen old friendships. Both of us will be teaching the majority of classes ourselves…as we are of course opening a studio because we LOVE teaching yoga. We will be the faces you see at the front desk as you enter, as you hang out and have a tea or a juice, and the faces that will say “see you later, get home safe, thanks for coming!” We are going to make huge efforts to learn everybody’s name and build personal relationships and connections with each and every person that enters through our doors…provided you want us to learn your name :)
We have opened our hearts, minds, and our lives to share everything with you. We hope you will love us and our studio, we know you will ;) Help support local small businesses that care about you, your community, and maintaining the “village” feel of Waterdown.
Where can you find us?
In keeping with Waterdown’s full name “Victorian Village of Waterdown”, we have spent the last year looking for the perfect space to open The Yogashala. We found the perfect spot! Right in the heart of Waterdown is where you will find us. You can find us in the newly built, but Victorian style building, at 312 Dundas Street East. We are in the same building as The Brown Dog Coffee Shoppe, Yogurty’s, Beyond the Batter Cupcakes, and Pippa & Prue.
