We will post events and sales here when they occur.
Our studio is open to the community and membership is based on the amount of time and type of equipment/materials needed.
Instructors are entitled to full use of facilities throughout the duration of their workshop(s).
Initially we will commence with weaving, felting, spinning, knit/crocheting, sewing, design/layout, and occasionally dyeing (in the warmer weather) for workshop material. Hopefully in the coming years we will be able to expand to other forms of medium.
When our studio has become fully stocked, you will be able to purchase materials and books online as well as in the facility.
We strive to purchase locally or if it is too beautiful and we must submit then only fair trade will suffice.
We will try to focus on natural materials for our workshops, however sometimes (especially as a beginner) a little bit of vibrant acrylic or Procion can be fun.
That leads us to our main drive behind the Black Cat, and that is to have fun! Experience something new! and in doing so maybe, Make Something Beautiful!!
