Yoga Village
At Yoga Village we come together in creative and healing community to cultivate healthy bodies, strong minds and deeper connections to life. From dynamic yoga classes that infuse ancient traditions with novel innovations, to offerings from healing arts and spiritual practices. We inspire each other to embrace ourselves fully, playfully and exuberantly. Yoga Village is just that: a village for us to gather from all walks of life to dream and create new ways of empowered living. It is co-visioned, co-owned and co-managed by Sara Downing (Robinson), Megan Marie Gates & Darren Austin Hall. We are over the gleaming moon to be offering this space to you all as a place to grow your wings and shine your soul!
The Yoga Village offers a variety of yoga classes for those starting out their practice, those looking to deepen, as well as some unique stylings, such as live music accompaniments (with Darren Austin Hall on the crystal singing bowls), Creative Flow with Megan Marie Gates, and Restorative Yoga for those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation. Through yoga, the community will revel in vitality and wonder with wisdom. You’ll also find in the Village many exciting workshops on health and well-being along with spiritual practices such as meditation and chanting. There’ll be revelry on our Friday jams, where yoga meets ecstatic dance and soulful songs and other beauties of artful life for epic dances and rowdy affection. The Village also offers itself as an event space to rent to for workshops, events and the like and share in the dynamic creativity of others.
Finally, the Village is home to the The Urban Sadhak Initiative which is co-created community vision and collective practice of how to engage spirituality in the modern environs of the city setting, taking on issues of ecological rights, social harmonics, and devising playful ways to love-bomb the corporate state and encourage the transformation toward positive world for all. We will meet frequently and joyfully to practice spiritual arts together, set intentions in shamanic contexts, tune to the cycles of the moon, read spiritual texts, forge delicious potlucks, create ways of out and in reach, dance, sing and laugh together, to bring it all together :)
