Camp Stella Puella
Stella Puella, which means Star Girl in Latin, is a summer camp for girls with a special focus on social action. Each week, the campers choose a local or global issue that they, as a group, feel passionate about. Topics we have focused on have been education, the environment, child rights, healthcare, and others. Through the rest of the week, campers learn about the issue through fun workshops and research, and then plan a fundraiser for the end of the week. Campers also enjoy camp activities including sports, crafts, photography, and swimming.
Our inclusive and enthusiastic atmosphere allows girls to reach out beyond their comfort zones and learn values of teamwork and leadership. In addition to gaining these beneficial qualities and experiencing unique camp activities, girls will gain confidence and self esteem by the
LIT PROGRAM: For a second summer, we are offering our Leader in Training (LIT) program to girls ages 13-14. Rates for campers in this age group do not differ from our regular session rates, but these girls will be given the opportunity to play a valuable leadership role in the camp atmosphere. LIT’s will bond as a group and work as a team to contribute to workshops and activities run by counselors of CSP. In addition, LIT’s will be offered intimate self-esteem and body image workshops designed for their age group. Campers aged 13-14 years will automatically be enrolled in the LIT program.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: It is our belief that all girls who wish to come to CSP, should be able to attend as campers, no matter what their family's financial situation. With the support of the Dunnville Rotary Club we are able to offer the CSP Scholarship Program, for those in financial need. For more information, please contact us.
