—ABOUT SUSHI SHELTER— Sushi Shelter 101 was opened with 21 seats in Port Coquitlam in July 2009. We tried very hard to create our own unique menu that cannot be found in any other places. Our ideal menu was to have a collection of unique fusions rolls and traditional rolls with sauces by our chef, Andy, that are his own creations. We wanted to adapt to the rapid growth of popular Japanese food in the Greater Vancouver area but at the same time, be atypical. Our philosophy behind the food at Sushi Shelter 101 is to keep the original taste of Japan and add taste of other cultures (if you've tasted our Chihuahua Roll, you'd know what we're talking about here). This is why you should often come back and check our menu because our chef Andy loves adding new rolls to the fusion roll menu. Sushi Shelter 101 welcomes everybody from everywhere.
