Brantford Golf & Country Club
In June of 2002, our newest clubhouse opened to the members. As the third clubhouse to be constructed at 60 Ava Road, this facility combines modern amenities with a classic golf club look. The new clubhouse has been built with an east-west orientation to better capture views of the course and the historic Grand River Valley.
The clubhouse is open to members year round with service in the Terrace Room daily from 11:00 a.m.
During the golf season, bar service is available in the Stanley Thompson Men's Lounge and the Kay Bishop Ladies' Lounge
The Stoneview Curling Lounge is open during the curling season.
Member or member-sponsored events, such as wedding receptions and anniversary parties, are held in the Grand River Room which can hold between 180 and 230 people depending on the set-up. The Grand River Room is constructed with a movable, sound-baffled wall to accommodate receptions that do not require as much space.
Smaller standup gatherings are enjoyed in the Grand River Foyer which features a large stone fireplace over which hangs the clock that was installed in 1920 in the first clubhouse on the site.
Small business meetings of up to 15, again member or member-sponsored, are held in The Brant Room.
One of the features of the new clubhouse is an unobtrusive but definite separation of function space and member space.
Guests attending functions arrive through the smaller function entrance while members and friends enter through the Grand Entrance. A stone-tiled entrance with vaulted ceiling leads members to the R. Bruce Forbes Lounge or to the pro shop.
Throughout the clubhouse, displays of historic, golf-related memorabilia and period pictures reflect the rich heritage of the Brantford Golf and Country Club.
