From humble beginnings of a 16’ X 30’ old elevator and $7000 in inventory, much has changed over 35 years of business. In 1998, George decided to expand the building he first built in 1983. Now, we have over 25,000 sq ft of building, keeping our large inventory of mill certified steel indoors, and a large store front for our additional retail products including the largest bolt section in the southwest, welding supplies, plumbing supplies, gases, JET tools, accessories and of course recycling steel. Swift Current Steel now handles over 7000 different inventory items to service the southwest community.
