Sherbrooke Village

42 Main Street, Sherbrooke , NS
This summer get your hands on history at Sherbrooke Village! At Sherbrooke Village, every day is a trip back in time as Nova Scotia’s 19th century heritage is brought to life for visitors of all ages by traditional blacksmiths, potters, weavers and printers. Whether you’re anxious to try your hand at quilting or would like your picture taken at Canada’s only Ambrotype glass photo studio, our daily activities and multi-day learning camps make our past your adventure. Visit us 45 minutes south of Antigonish or online at www.sherbrookevillage.ca or call 1-888-743-7845 Sherbrooke Village depicts a typical Nova Scotian village from 1860 to pre-WW1. With approximately 80 buildings, over 25 of those open to the public, most with costumed interpreters, it is the largest Nova Scotia Museum site. Visit the working woodturner shop, blacksmith, pottery shop, and printery. During your visit, enjoy a delicious, light meal at the What Cheer Tea Room located within the Village. Built on an economy of ship building, lumbering and gold mining, Sherbrooke Village reflects Nova Scotia as it was during its industrial boom in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
