Tourism Saskatoon
It is a city of bridges, seven in total, each casting a shadow over the South Saskatchewan River, joining the east to the west. It is a city of sunshine, 2,381 hours a year on average, among the most of anywhere in Canada. It is a city of parklands with more than 870 hectares, and a city of youth where the median age is 35, four years lower than the national average. It is a city of contrasts admired for its theatre venues and prolific arts and culture scene as much as its funky festivals, major sporting events and overall ability to throw a great party. Nicknamed “the hub city” thanks to numerous transportation connections and a central locale, Saskatoon is easy to get to… but hard to leave.
