Gaspesian Village Gaspésien
The Gaspesian Village is composed of 21 historical buildings (1820’s- ca.1910) set out as a village on an 82-acre piece of land called Duthie’s Point. The site is of historical importance since it was originally occupied by the Mi’gmaq, possibly the Acadians, and subsequently by the first Loyalists when they arrived in Grand Cascapedia (now New Richmond ) in 1784. Officially incorporated in February 1985 and officially opened to the public in 1989.
