COMPANY HISTORY Dynamic Enterprises Ltd. is the legal name of the company and is also operating as Carpet One Floor & Home. The company was founded in 1975 by Vince Kraus and was originally called CJV The Carpet People. The first location was in the Town n’ Country Mall and then it was moved in 1978 to 1715 Main Street North. For 25 years Vince Kraus’s store was known as a quality retail flooring operation which sold Benjamin Moore Paints as well. In 1997 Vince joined the buying group ‘Carpet One’ and changed the store‘s name to CJV Carpet One. In 1997, Earl Swalm, a Kindersley, Saskatchewan native and present owner, came from Calgary, Alberta where he was in Advertising Sales to Moose Jaw to work with Vince. In January 2000, Vince Kraus turned over the day-to-day operations of the Carpet One Floor & Home store to Earl Swalm who in 2005 moved the retail operations to its present location of 27 Mckenzie Lane occupying 10,000 SF and changed the name to Carpet One Floor & Home. In 2002, Earl opened Inspiration Décor: a Benjamin Moore paint boutique store. That business flourished and was sold to John Hallett in 2005 who continues to run a profitable operation. Carpet One Floor & Home has succeeded by keeping its product lines focused and its marketing strategy simple. Customers come first. We take the time to discover what the customer needs and provide unmatched warranties and installation services to satisfy our customers. By the end of 2009, Carpet One Floor & Home had sales equal or higher than any of its competitors in Moose Jaw with record satisfaction rates. Carpet One Floor & Home is still growing and plans to continue concentrating on the customer experience and unmatched flooring warranties.
