Lighthouse / Undercurrent Mission Trips
Become part of a team that will see and experience, first hand, life the way much of the world lives it. You will take part in helping the poor, spend time with children in orphanages and hospitals, help with construction projects, children / youth events, see the results of the sex trade and poverty, and learn about you can make the difference in the lives of others.

Where?
For the majority of the trip we will be working in the Sosua and Puerto Plata areas in the Dominican Republic. They are both on the north side of the island and close to the Puerto Plata Airport.
Why?
The whole area is full of both life and despair. It is a popular tourist area which has led to many issues. Things like teen prostitution, poverty, prejudice, are all real and common problems, as well as, the rich taking advantage of the poor.
Who?
The trip is for teens and adults. All those 13 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Once accepted each individual will be set up with an online giving page to collect their funds for the trip.
