Thistle Automotive Ltd owners, Richard and Patricia Harman, emigrated to Canada with their two young daughters in January 1981 after a visit to Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta in the summer of 1979. Richard began working at Eastland Ford in Fort Saskatchewan as an Automotive Technician and quickly settled into his new life in Alberta. Six months later a vacancy at the Fort Saskatchewan Esso Station became available and Richard moved on to his next adventure. Richard spent many years at Fort Esso and after long time owner, Malcolm Deacon retired, he began to think about opening his own shop so he could provide his own personalised service to the residents of Fort Saskatchewan. In May 1990 Richard and Patricia opened the doors of Thistle Automotive Ltd. Over the years Richard has built a successful business by providing superior automotive service with exceptional customer service. Richard and Patricia have made it their mission to take automotive repair to a new level.
