The pride and joy of the Association is no doubt our Community Centre. Located at 5600 Centre Street North, Calgary, the Community Centre is over 300,000 square feet of extremely well utilized space. The Centre houses one artificial-ice arena, four recently refinished racquetball courts, four 5-pin bowling alleys, a seniors centre, a members' lounge, and two banquet halls. The largest of these halls, the Main Hall, is multi use in nature as it serves as our bingo hall, gymnasium and banquet hall. The Main Hall is one of the largest halls of it's kind in Calgary. The Centre is not exclusive to it's members. It is open to all who wish to enjoy it's many attributes. Construction of the Centre commenced in 1956 and has been built to, built around and reno vated over the years. The last major addition was in 1981 and consisted of the Main Hall, lobby and Recreation Centre. Renovations were also completed in our lounge in 2006 and to our arena in 2010. In 2013 we equipped the halls and surrounding areas with energy efficient lighting.
