The Dashwood Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1984 by a dedicated group of community members who felt a strong passion to have a safer community. Today that passion is still alive and the tradition of keep our community safe is forefront with all our members. Today the Dashwood Volunteer Fire Department has 40 dedicated volunteers operating out of two stratigicly placed fire stations, and is under the direction of a Career Fire Chief Nick Acciavatti and Deputy Fire Chief Dan Francouer. Our dedicated members respond to an average of 150 calls of help from our community and surrounding communities. Our members are NFPA trained certified and strive to be at the leading edge of our profession, and all share the same passion and commitment to help our citizens out in their time of need.

The Moncton Museum's mission is to collect, conserve, study, exhibit and interpret historic and heritage material of Moncton and the surrounding area. The Museum explores and showcases many facets of Moncton's history through a variety of mediums: its permanent collection, temporary and travelling exhibits, research library and educational programs. Le Musée de Moncton a pour mandat de constituer une collection du patrimoine matériel et historique de Moncton et des environs, de le conserver, de l’étudier, de l’exposer et de l’interpréter. Par l’entremise d’une gamme de médias, dont sa collection permanente, des expositions itinérantes, sa bibliothèque de recherche et ses programmes éducatifs, le musée explore et présente diverses facettes de l’histoire de la Ville de Moncton.
