Let's rename this section Bio:
I was raised in Richmond B.C., my Father was a commercial salmon fisherman & a finishing carpenter by trade. I’ve been told I spent the beginning of my life in a playpen at my Mother’s office where she bought & sold Real Estate, mostly the homes my Father built. I’m proud to say all of his houses are still standing, though many Richmond homes have been pushed over for Condos through the years, his haven’t; which is a direct reflection of the quality workmanship he brought to every project. I was taught how to work hard by both of my parents, whether it was on the boat, or my weekend job, a strong work ethic that holds integrity as a top priority has become the way I live my life.
When I left the nest in 1991, I migrated to Whistler where I became a certified snowboard instructor, I was moonlighting in the service industry, and now had the opportunity to spend everyday on the ski hill. The next summer I moved to Tofino, spent my time exploring the beaches & rainforest and again, working in the service industry until the fall came. I moved back & forth seasonally for a few years until I discovered Fernie B.C. in 1994, and the East Kootenays became my home for the next 7 years. In that time I did a lot of traveling from the Yukon all the way to Mexico, Australia, Asia and spent a winter coaching snowboarding and competing in Japan. No matter where I went, coming home to BC was always the best part of the trip.
Spring of 2002 I realized I had to go back to the Coast, the Ocean & Vancouver Island in particular, it was all too far away. I needed to be closer to my family and Needed to be able to eat fresh seafood. I moved to Ucluelet, and spent the next few years working as one of the Managers at the Schooner Restaurant in Tofino–a fantastic experience yet I longed for a career change after 20 years in the service industry. I’ve been Licensed to buy & sell Real Estate since July18th 2006, and Love my new career.
