YAC Mission Statement: The Powell River Youth Advisory Council exists to provide local youth ages 13 to 18, with a multitude of opportunities to coordinate and participate in healthy by-youth-for-youth activities. The YAC serves as an organizational platform from which young people are supported to test out the power of their own voices. Activities coordinated through YAC aim to develop personal capacity, promote an understanding of community issues, build healthy connections and foster a strong sense of personal responsibility/citizenship.

It complements my interests in food, plating designs, flowers, Jewelry, fashion design and the love of vintage items including old architecture. Photography enables you to see the image in one owns eye and mind and to transfer this into the image that you are shooting. Currently my focus is photographing wild life, flowers, gardens, land and seascapes as well as older or modern architectural designs. Living on the beautiful sunshine coast of British Columbia enables so many opportunities to shoot the incredible beauty of the landscape and the wildlife, especially whales and other sea creatures. As my skills develop I intend to shoot weddings and special events.
